  • Provide on-going support of LAN, MAN and WAN that ensures the clients’ business cycles will not be impacted during upgrades or maintenance.
  • Perform network administration tasks to maintain network accessibility and availability.
  • Perform network hardware installations, modifications, monitoring, and diagnostics as well as problem resolution.
  • Assist supervisor with prioritization of work requests, communicating impacts to schedule and costs when exceptions occur.
  • Provide guidance and training to other staff members about network support.
  • Possess excellent customer support and interpersonal skills.
  • Follow-up with key clients regularly throughout the issue resolution process to ensure smooth communication.
  • Provide up-to-date information to clients in response to specific inquiries.
  • Follow-up on commitments prior to requested date.
  • Contact Vendors such as Cisco for support and escalation.
  • Effective and adaptable team player.
  • Adhere to all basic safety standards according to client’s requirements.


  • Requirements
    Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience. At least two years of hands-on network experience with Cisco and 3Com technologies. At least one to two years working in a production data center environment. Knowledge of Cisco 6500/4500/2950 series switches, 2600/3600 series routers, and familiar with Cisco VPN & PIX firewalls as well as 3Com switches. General knowledge of Network services such as DNS, WINS, DHCP and SMTP Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience supporting UNIX or Windows environments is highly desired. Network Management tools and utilities experience is a plus. Required Certification Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent knowledge. Desired Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Microsoft Certified professional (MCP) Minimum of 3-5 years of related technical support experience.
