This position exists to manage the development and implementation of renovation and new construction projects, with primary emphasis on developing initial project feasibility studies, program requirements, and detailed design documents. In addition to these design phase responsibilities, this position shall also manage and coordinate the bidding and construction phases of projects as assigned. Priorities will be effectively established for the completion of projects on time and within budget, and will schedule all resources needed accordingly.

Position Requirements
|
Requires a BA degree in Architecture or a BS degree in an engineering/technology field with a minimum of two years related experience. Requires Indiana registration as an Architect or NCARB certification if applicable. Requires necessary skills for schematic and detailed design development. Requires good oral and written communication skills to interface with user departments, consultants, and contractors. Should be familiar and comfortable with general construction concepts in order to accommodate these during the design phase as well as occasionally run the construction phase of projects as assigned. Requires knowledge of general accounting and project cost control techniques. Requires strong knowledge of applicable regulations, such as the NFPA Life Safety Code and the AIA Guidelines for Design & Construction of Hospital and Healthcare Facilities. Requires the ability to equally split time between sitting and walking. Hospital experience is preferred. Requires familiarity with both schematic and detailed cost estimating practices as well as project scheduling techniques. |
