Description

The position will develop a highly-available web-based portal application in an Oracle environment employing a multi-tiered server architecture for flexibility, scalability and disaster recovery. The position will be a member of an elite tiger team of experienced developers who work cohesively as a unit to achieve the project objectives. The project uses a full life-cycle development process.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, testing, updating, and maintaining PL/SQL packages, functions, procedures and cursors; as well as, JavaScript and HTML. Candidate must also understand basic procedure overloading, as well as be able to pass parameters between portlets.

Position Requirements
|
Candidate must have a four year degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or another related field, have a minimum of 3 years Oracle application programming in PL/SQL, have experience in web development in HTML and JavaScript, and be able to function independently with minimum supervision and meet deadlines.
Successful candidate will have knowledge and experience programming in PL/SQL and HTML/JavaScript in a web-based transaction portal environment. The candidate will have experience working with Oracle Applications, preferably version 9i and/or 10g, Oracle’s PL/SQL Web toolkit, and Oracle Portal. The candidate will be responsible for creating, testing, updating, and maintaining PL/SQL packages, functions, procedures and cursors; as well as, JavaScript and HTML. Candidate must also understand basic procedure overloading, as well as be able to pass parameters between Oracle portlets.
Preferred Skills/Education/Experience:
Experience programming Oracle Applications version 10g, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Portal, and Oracle Internet Directory (OID); as well as, experience in web development in HTML, Java and JavaScript. Experience with Oracle’s PL/SQL toolkit programming LDAP connections to the Oracle Internet Directory (OID). Experience with DAD configurations utilizing the OID as authentication. Experience using development tools like TOAD, Erwin and Visual Source Safe. |
