KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
·         Receive and process booking information from the customer / agent to identify and confirm appropriate routes. 
·         Prepare the necessary documentation for customs and international payment purposes as required.
·         Dispatch the load; update the carriers, customers and relevant parties with finalized booking details.
·         Track and trace each load and proactively update the customer on load status.
·         Effectively resolve any problems / issues that occur. 
·         Provide customer quotations and routing information. 
·         Monitor and coordinate with the Laredo office on loads and shipments cross-boarder with Mexico.
·         Other duties and assignments as required. 

 

 
Position Requirements
Education and Industry Knowledge
·         High school diploma. 
·         College diploma / university degree in business, logistics or related discipline is an asset. 
·         Possess a minimum of 3 years freight forwarding experience. 
·         CITT / CIFFA designation (or designation in progress).
·         Working knowledge of international import / export rules and regulations.
·         Working knowledge of the international market and geography.

 

Technical Skills
·         Proficient in Microsoft Office. 
·         Basic / Intermediate skills in Excel required for customer-specific reports.
·         Working knowledge of freight management software (TEDS, Trans Tec).

 

Customer Service Skills
·         Dedicated commitment to providing superior, timely customer service.
·         Strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and oral form.
·         Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
·         Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a team environment. 
·         Strong negotiating skills.
·         Detail oriented. 
·         Ability to clearly identify the customers’ current and future needs and present transportation solutions to them.

 

 
Salary/Benefits
$40,000 to $45,000 depending on experience
