An international corporation with four major divisions seeks an Business Development Manager for its Montreal, Quebec headquarters.

The main business activity is state-of-the-art productivity software tools for the legal and corporate sectors. These tools include service and entity management as well as computer system solutions for the government sector. The chosen candidate will be responsible for developing strategic alliances and building long-term relationships with senior level contacts within the corporate and legal market to increase sales of the software systems. Duties include preparation and execution of sales presentations and activities that enhance company growth and profitability. These activities require superior communication, organizational and presentation skills.



Requirements
Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate has a proven record of accomplishment establishing strategic alliances that improve sales and profitability through excellent communication and strong closing skills. A sense of integrity to bring finesse to sales and marketing efforts is integral, as is the ability to deal with pressure and tight deadlines. A positive attitude, excellent organizational skills, accountability and autonomy are must-haves.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Identify, qualify and close business for our Corporate Management and Subsidiary Governance Software System
  • Manage assigned accounts and leads
  • Make web-based presentations to potential clients
  • Manage product positioning and strategy
  • Provide feedback to the Development Group on client-requested enhancements
  • Develop and maintain competitive knowledge on targeted industries, competitors and industry trends
  • Manage complex sales cycles
  • Competency Profile
  • A degree in Business Administration or Science
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in account management and sales
  • A demonstrated ability in business development and creation of business models, including pricing structures
  • Ability to implement a strategic sales plan
  • A proven track record of attaining revenue goals successfully
  • Experience in writing proposals as well as defining and negotiating contracts
  • Experience and responsibility in detailed discussions and resolution of terms and conditions
  • Experience in managing and closing sales opportunities through forecasting and planning
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • Experience with the software industry and software system sales is an asset
