CAREER BUILDING OPPORTUNITY
Salesperson/Design Consultant
City Tile Design Studio, a well-established, innovative and respected tile and stone company has an immediate opening for a self-motivated salesperson/design consultant to assist with their ever-growing clientele base.
- Facilitate new customers with product selections, design and colour choices;
- Work with existing accounts and generate new ones in our showroom through our network of distributors;
- Manage internal project scope, cost and schedule;
- Increase product knowledge of all product lines;
- Provide design consultations to clients;
- Maintain communications with clients;
- Complete estimates;
- Prepare full project estimates;
- Order product;
- Showroom maintenance;
- Do some project management.
Requirements
SKILLS:
- Proven design capabilities;
- Practical background in business practices;
- Strong Microsoft Office skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Solid planning and organization skills, focus to detail, creativity;
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be confident in their abilities;
- Able to meet tight deadlines/schedules in an action oriented-multi-task environment;
- Sales experience in the industry is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided;
- Interior design certification or applicable post secondary certification is preferred, but not required;
- Knowledge of residential home construction is preferred, but not required;
- Estimating experience would be an asset;
- Detail oriented;
- Decisive.

The successful candidate have a flair for interior design, be attentive to details, computer literate and you like working in a fast paced team environment. You enjoy challenges and have the ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines.
We offer a competitive base salary and incentives. As well, to assist with the learning curve and guarantee a successful transition, a senior design mentor will provide training and coaching.
