Insta-Rent Ltd. is looking for a dynamic Accountant/Inventory Analyst to join their team. This position will be responsible for assisting the Controller in assuring accuracy of inventory information and support of store locations.
Responsibilities:
Process inventory vendor invoices and credit notes.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare cheque runs.
Ensure that deadlines are met for vendor payment cycles and accounting month end cut-offs.
Maintain inventory schedules including inventory additions and return to vendors.
Monitor the dispositions of inventory relating to write-offs, duplicate entries, combined units, and returns to vendors.
Maintain working relationships with Vendors.
Support the regional managers in inventory procedures and issues.
Assist the team with other accounting procedures as time permits.
Assist with journal entries and special projects to identify opportunities for improvement
Requirements
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will be a team player, professional, highly organized, and able to perform in a fast paced office environment.
The ideal candidate will be working towards a degree with an accounting major, applied accounting degree or diploma in Business Administration and has 2 years relevant experience with inventory.
