Description

Oversee, guide and manage the interior and

exterior maintenance requirements of the

current & future faculties of the Society. 

 
Position Requirements
Journeyman’s Certificate Building Operations – mechanical and / or boilers or equivalent.  Building Environment Systems Technology (BEST) - trained in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industries (HVAC&R).  Five (5) years experience in supervisory / management capacity – experience in scheduling.  Five (5) years experience in facility maintenance / cleaning. Trade experience & license in electrical, plumbing & heating, very desirable.  Equivalent combination of experience / education may be considered.

Particular focus will be preventative

maintenance for mechanical equipment &

boilers, scheduling of regular

maintenance / cleaning schedules. 

Excel in areas of troubleshooting, system

analysis, system design/engineering,

expertise in HVAC&R and Building

Automation fields.

To supervise and coordinate maintenance

staff, emergency maintenance

requirements, service contacts and

warranty specifications.

To establish maintenance schedules to

ensure overall and specific cleanliness of

each facility.

To establish maintenance procedures to

ensure cost effective utilization of both

human capital and product usage.

To provide appropriate training for staff

to ensure compliance with safety

standards and codes as legally required

by Law and Agency policy. 

To ensure cost effective procedures and

standards are established / implemented

to maintain faculties and equipment.

Qualifications                           

-Management experience for all staff

supervision, motivation and scheduling. 

-          Have a commitment to a Not for Profit

philosophy and delivery system. 

-          Participative management style. 

-          High energy, able to handle several

projects at once.

-          High level of pride in quality of

workmanship & facility maintenance.
