Trade certification as a cabinetmaker,

four-year trade program, preferably a

graduate of cabinetmaking from a

recognized technical institution. 

Autocad and design experience.

Management guidance and leadership expertise, positive attitude, hardworking, & life skills training.  Good communication and written skills.

Requirements

Interpret blueprints, drawings and

sketches to determine specifications

and calculate requirements; and,

provide accurate business quotes;

Measure, cut, shape, assemble and

join materials made of wood, wood

substitutes, lightweight steel and other

materials;

Provide supervision of work for furniture

manufacturing;

Setting standards and guidelines for

safety/operations

Interpret plans, specifications or

drawings of articles to be made, or

prepare specifications and supervise

completion;

Mark outlines or dimensions of parts on

wood;

Full knowledge of operating

woodworking machines;

Strong appreciation of marketing

concepts & customer service. 

Continually updating knowledge/skills.
