Tapped In Consulting is currently seeking a full-time Water Quality Technician to assist with the delivery of safe water to our clients. This enthusiastic, energetic individual should be familiar with the regulations such as the Safe Drinking Water Act, Reg. 170/03, Reg. 252/05, Reg. 243/07 and Reg. 903 as well as other pertinent guidelines or standards including the Safe Drinking Water Standards for Ontario. Individuals must be able to successfully complete the trained-person certification course, and the certified operator course.
Familiarity with plumbing and water quality is an asset.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparation of paperwork and collection of water samples as specified by Regulation 170/252/243 and deliver samples to our accredited laboratory for analysis.
Weekly site visits to monitor the proper functioning of water treatment equipment.
Assessment of FAC levels and turbidity measurements as needed.
Completion of accurate water system records.
Investigation of water quality and quantity issues and take corrective action as needed
Preparation of annual reports for drinking water system under Reg. 170/03.
Requirements
A graduate of a community college program which involved plumbing, water quality (water or wastewater)
Knowledge of water treatment equipment and there function is an asset
Ability to use Microsoft office software programs is a must
Valid drivers license
