Lead technical development of opportunities with support of regional and factory teams. Support commercial development of opportunity with sales team.
Specific tasks and skills required:
* Review and influence customer specifications to assure compliance and/or noted exceptions for development of equipment and service quotations.
* Ability to review potential hardware and service packages to provide most costs effective, technically appropriate solution to customer need.
* Ability to make technical presentations to all levels of customer organization.
* Development of engineering and installation workscopes, schedules and cost estimates to facilitate total scope project offerings.
* Contribute to and leverage existing technical library of source materials related to industry applications, system configurations/hardware, design standards, etc. to provide timely technical information.
Requirements
* Engineering degree
* Extensive application/design knowledge of generator excitation and protective system gained during ten or more years of experience in utility/non-utility generation environments or related manufacturing industries.
* Overall understanding of gas, steam and hydro turbine operation and supporting subsystems.
* Field service experience
* Experience in developing and writing specifications and/or proposals.
* Working knowledge of related technologies including turbine control, industrial automation systems, power delivery systems, AC and DC drivers.
* Demonstrated ability to succeed in matrix organizational environment
* Effective written and oral communication skills
