• Tooling Engineer in Wynyard

Working with suppliers and be involved with regular update meetings to monitor progress and advise of any issues that arise during tooling construction.

Evaluate and advise on tooling issues pertaining to meeting Production needs and the quality of component parts.

Lead meetings with molders to review maintenance and replacement of Production tooling.

l         Work closely with client engineers and quality assurance team. Provide technical assistance to supplier personnel in guaranteeing quality.

Working with suppliers and function as the primary resource for logistical issues related to tooling, for the purpose of continually improving efficiencies and processes.

Ensure delivery of a quality product to all internal and external customers at a reasonable cost.

Mechanical Engineering Degree (Production Engineering preferred) and 8+ years experience with tooling, molds, injection molding equipment are required.

Strong knowledge of, and experience with the design and development of small, intricate, high-volume plastics is also required.

Computer literate with excellent knowledge of engineering software tools such as: AutoCAD, ProEngineer and Solidworks.

High level of problem-solving, analytical and creative abilities.

 Experience in the plastic/silicone industry a definite asset.
