Description

Working within a regional team providing application support for client facing trading systems in a fast-paced derivatives trading environment.

Interfacing with clients, traders, developers and other IT staff to ensure the smooth running of systems.

Provide 1st line support for production issues from initial client contact through to resolution, including root cause identification and implementing preventative action.

Position Requirements

Experience in Front-line support role in an Investment Bank

Good Unix knowledge (preferably Solaris)

Good networking knowledge, particularly TCP/IP related network components

Basic SQL and database knowledge (preferably Sybase)

Good troubleshooting/analytical skills
