Our client, a financial services firm, is currently seeking a facility manager to cover all Data Centre Facility Management duties.

The successful candidate will be required to co-ordinate and manage Data Centre access security, facility for power, air-conditioning, and building construction, keeping in line with fire regulations and FISC requirement. In addition, they will have to manage all documentation and daily paper work, managing operational manuals and general procurement.

Duties:
On site project management for Data Centre - Project Management related to Data Centre and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) relocation, expansion, server move, equipment installation, and construction. This will also includes the management and co-ordination of outside vendors.
- Data Centre equipment risk management - Coverage of UPS time frame setting, DC power down procedure, Business Crises Management (BCP) site co-ordination.
- Management of critical environment - Electricity, air-condition, construction fire regulation control. UPS, transformer room, and computer room management, creating over all DC and BCP power source plan, air-conditioning work, construction, etc
- Security system management -document production for fire prevention and escape plan. Select and manage extinguisher facility for computer rooms and office. Receiving 24 hour alarms for door security and DC facility alarm. Managing security guards, maitenance vendors, access cards, master keys, etc.
- Vendor Management - Cost assessment for administrative related vendors and premises vendors
- CAD operation for projects, facility layout change ? Project layout changes and documenting using CAD.
- Asset Control - Office equipment and lease hold improvement asset reconciliation excluding IT, furniture inventory, warehouse management
- Coordinating with building owner - DC lease contract update, cost negotiation, etc.
- Document and contractual management - Contracts, emergency escape manual, DC operational guideline, etc.


Requirements
Experience in facility management is preferred but candidates eager to learn on the job will be welcomed as the client is prepared to train candidates with potential.
