Food Service summer positions available at summer camp
Atikokan, ON
Northwest Ontario and Northern Manitoba summer camps looking for kitchen staff. Outdoor recreation summer camp located in Northwest Ontario is looking to fill several positions within the food service and outfitting departments.
Responsibilities include:
• assisting with the packing and issuing of trail food, keeping the food issue/packing area clean, and helping to maintain inventory control.
Or
• Responsible for preparing meals, keeping the kitchen/dining areas clean, and supervising other kitchen help
Or
.
• Manage dining hall, supervise clean-up duties, manage kitchen staff.
Or
• Assist with meal preparation, kitchen/dining area clean-up, and dishwashing.
And
• Other duties are assigned, as needs dictate, and may include working in any of the other areas of the operation. Requires current C.P.R. certification, ability to pass a swimmer test, and basic or higher First Aid (Wilderness First Aid preferred).
• Salary is based on position responsibility with consideration given to the individual’s experience.
• Length of employment varies with job assignment. The majority of summer contracts will run from approximately June 1 to August 20.
• Applicants are considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age (if you are over 18, or 21 for certain positions), marital status, veteran status, or the presence of a disability that is unrelated to your ability to perform the job position requested.
• A brief resume of your experience for each of your choices is required.
• References are important! At least one letter of recommendation, or a completed Northern Tier Reference Form is required. References should be a former/present employer, school counselor, teacher, etc. (not your best friend or relative!) This information should be sealed in an envelope and mailed at about the same time as your application.
