Our client is a recognized leader in research and development worldwide. They produce thousands of innovative products for dozens of diverse markets. They are currently seeking a Government Account Executive for their Government Markets division located in Ottawa.
Responsibilities:
Identify, lead, manage and implement key agency programs resulting in sales growth in all Federal Government Agencies (focus on National Defense, Coast Guard, Transport Canada, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Canada Border Services Agency, and Correctional Services.)
Developing agency specific strategic plans,
Research and identification of business opportunities within each government agency,
Execution of plans, building of a network of relationships at senior level of Government Agencies to position our client technologies,
Coordination of government contacts with targeted sales divisions,
Organization of activities and follow up with both customers and client divisions until sales closure,
Protecting reputation by ethical behavior and compliance to all Business Conduct Policy at all times.
Qualifications:
University Degree in Business, Law or Political Sciences or combined with extensive experience
Must be ex-military or ex-security
Significant political and government experience and interest (preferably in defense or security)
Depth of knowledge and understanding of government process
Business experience of 15 years
Bilingualism in French and English considered a key asset
Highly skilled in oral and written communication, planning and organization skills
Ability and comfort at making very high level contacts and building relationships
