Linux and Database Administrator
Our Client, a leading psychometric company based in Montreal, invites application for a full-time permanent position as a Linux and database administrator.
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in computer sciences or related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the field
• Advanced knowledge of database programming ( MySQL)
• Advanced knowledge of Linux
• Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML.
• Knowledge of programming (PHP, PERL, Java Script, AJAX, .EXT)
• Analytical mind, good logical thinking
• Independence, responsibility, team spirit, good communication and social skills
• Experience in other IT areas or project management is an asset
Job description:
• Maintenance of servers and administration of Apache, mail server and MySQL server
• Database administration - maintenance, repairs and backups
• Network communication
• Compilation and installation of web-based software applications
• Programming of scripts in PERL, Shell or Bash
• Debugging and development of scripts
• Development of database concepts and designs
• Programming of web and database applications
• Development of database applications for MySQL server
• Communication with content developers
