Our award-winning Learning Grounds Program is looking for a second Manager, Learning Grounds Associates to play a leadership role in its ever-expanding work. In tandem with our current Manager, you will oversee our ever-expanding group of School Ground Design Consultants who are located across the country.
This includes:
-Providing our School Ground Greening Consultants with guidance and direction as needed in their day-to-day efforts to green school grounds in their territories;
-Tracking trends in our greening work, particularly at a local level;
-representing Consultants’ voice and/or concerns at head office;
-providing Consultants with the tools to best do their jobs in the field
-Managing general information as related the School Ground Greening Consultant program, which includes tracking and managing their reports, communicating on a regular basis with the Consultants, working closely with colleagues and reporting back to funders
-Managing specific school projects across the country, which may include the creation of budgets, liaising with funders, with school administrators, with our development team and the School Ground Greening Consultants
-Developing project materials for Consultants and schools;
-work closely with Consultants to define and develop resources to support school ground greening within their school boards;
-cultivate and expand school board relationships across the country

You have/are:
-A post-secondary degree Strong management and organizational skills; able to comfortably multi-task and work to deadline
-Strong negotiation and diplomatic skills
-Experienced in the design process and installation of children’s play and learning landscapes
-Experience working in an NGO an asset, though not necessary
-Demonstrated experience managing and creating budgets
-Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills; able to work well in a collaborative environment yet also able to work independently
-Proven project management skills with the ability to drive projects from conception through to completion
