Key Responsibilities
- Verify total number of drivers each day and contact drivers for daily routes.
- Confirm daily completion of all route finish times
- Respond in a timely manner to "CLIENT" and their customer’s request
- Assist and coach all drivers to meet maximum potential while maintaining delivery time specifications
- Maintain driver respect through fairness and dignity
- Communicates with driver services on driver vacations and time off requests
- Trains and coaches drivers as required relating to the customer specifications
- Address customer concerns through dispatch prioritization
- Identify and ensure all customers are given 100% performance on deliveries
- Ensure all contact requirements are met and/or exceed through customer service
- Provide assistance to other departments as required
- Provide Operations Management with information on equipment failures and problems
- Order Entry of Jobs
- Report completion as required by customer
- Manual route optimization
- Computerized utilization of route optimization software
- Liaise with Warehouse operations for inventory, inbound and outbound product control
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of the city
- Minimum two(2) years experience in the courier industry
- Outstanding verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Computer skills
- Ability to exercise good judgement
