As the Release Manager, you will own assembling and driving the overall delivery schedules for the components and features delivered by STC. You must feel comfortable operating within a fast moving research & development team. You should have great core program management skills - strong customer empathy, attention to detail, proven track record of working with dev/test/research in a product group, excellent written and oral communication. This position requires the ability to influence feature teams through written, interpersonal, and presentation skills. The ability to handle multiple concurrent releases and demonstrated experience driving for results in a cross-group/team project is a must. This position will also require managing technology transfer projects between MSR-A and STC, as well as integration of STC project plans, schedules and release plans with MSN/Live.
Requirements
You should possess a strong technical background and an extremely good grasp of software engineering principles, exceptional problem solving skills, and a minimum of 3 years experience in delivering online software solutions. You should be self-motivated and self-directed and able to lead and motivate. A demonstrated ability to come up-to-speed quickly on a new technical domain is presumed. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are very important.
