  • Responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the data and voice infrastructure including hardware, firmware and services. and performing installation of infrastructure where needed.
  • Mentoring voice and network technicians in daily performance of their assign tasks and provide technical support.
  • Working with project team on all acquisition/installation of voice and network hardware equipment, software, and maintenance agreements to maximize integration, compatibility, and continuing operations of systems with minimal disruption.
  • Working with the Infrastructure Architect, responsible for the planning and design of voice infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT assets.


  • Requirements
  • Experience in managing voice and network enterprise infrastructure production environment.
  • Certifications in ITIL.
  • Avaya IP Office certified min (2) years experience.
  • Avaya Communications Mgr/Definity certified min (5) years experience.
  • Cisco Call Manager/Voip experience a plus.
  • Nortel Opt 21-81 experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated leader of people, able to earn confidence of others quickly, exhibiting credibility through his/her actions and interactions with others.
  • Committed to team building, mentor to staff and a good coach.
  • Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, across a wide variety of areas.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of products and services.
  • Budgeting and cost-management skills.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities in company requirements, product demands, and purchasing timelines through analytical capabilities.
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and diplomatic.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Adept at conducting research learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • College BS or BA in Information Technology or Customer Service.
  • Network and voice network experience.
  • Experience in the Transportation Industry.
  • Operations: ITIL Framework (or equivalent); Monitoring (e.g. Tivoli, Mercury Interactive, HP OpenView); Incident/Problem/Change/Release/Configuration Management (Peregrine, Merant, Remedy etc.); Capacity Planning/Management; etc.
