TECHNICAL WRITER

Ability to develop and enhance API documentation repository and provide integration with existing product build process

§         Develop and maintain custom publishing tools as necessary

§         Develop sample/example applications in C++, C#, VB/VBA and/or Lisp.

§         Work effectively with other members of the project team, including Software Development, Test Development, Product Design, Localization and Marketing

§         Remain knowledgeable about current technology and documentation standards within the software industry

§         Read code written by developers, as well as translate specifications written by developers into information that customers can use.

§         Plan, organize, write, edit and test software manuals, developer guides, and online materials.

§         Work closely with software development team to research documentation requirements and content.

         Education: BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical, Civil  or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience

§         Experience writing user documentation and tutorials

§         Ability to produce quality documentation with aggressive deadlines

§         Experience in HTML, HTML Help, XML

§         Excellent writing and editing skills

§         Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information clearly

§         Excellent interpersonal skills; a self-starter who is effective in a team environment
